Back to Square One

Back to Square One!
As children head back to the classroom following the COVID-19 pandemic, it is important that practitioners, parents and educators understand the emotional toll that the world’s children have undergone. This toll will undoubtedly be seen in the classroom in the form of social, emotional and academic struggles. This course is designed to help all practitioners understand the foundational neurological connections to learning, attention and behavior and how to recognize “red flag” warnings and outward signs of struggle. In addition, this program will address concerns regarding academic learning and social behavior/learning and masking requirements for children.
Important “turn-key” ways to support optimal in classroom learning as well as learning for the homeschooler will be a hallmark in this program. This mentorship opportunity will also give chiropractors the basic neurological foundations for learning, attention and behavior and give the HOW and WHY chiropractic is a must for all children!
This is NOT just a CE class!
This course is a mentorship style program with an on-line self-paced learning portion in addition to three live on-line sessions. The live session are designed to enhance certainty and confidence of the information and also be a time for Q & A and sharing for personal mastery.
FREE Marketing and Implementation Tools!
Included in the INCREDIBLE program will be FREE marketing/educational videos that will correspond to each module of material! These videos can be used in house and/or on social media platforms.
FREE “Community Conversation Dashboard”
Included in this AMAZING program is a FREE Community Forum to connect with other individuals working through the course, ask questions and work through any cases/hurdles as you learn! This will also give you direct access to both instructors for the duration of the mentorship course.
How the Program Works
This program will open on September 20th with access to four INCREDIBLE on-line modules. Each module consists of two thirty-minute lessons. These modules will be self-paced learning and will be open access learning through December 3rd. This information delivered in “bite size pieces” will help make the information useable and tangible. In addition to the four self-paced modules, there will be three live on-line “workshop” style sessions (see dates/times below). These workshops are key to mastering the information and successful implementation and communication for practice building!

Learning Objectives:
- For the chiropractor to understand the basic neurological foundations for optimal learning and how to recognize red flag concerns
- For the chiropractor to understand the role that the chiropractic adjustment can play in learning, attention and behavior using current chiropractic neuroscience research
- For the chiropractor to understand and have tools to communicate to parents and teachers the basic neurological theories of learning
Module 1: It’s all Connected!
This hour will cover basic neurology and how emotions, behavior and learning are all interconnected. It will give the chiropractor a solid understanding of how to help parents and teachers understand what is necessary and important to foster an optimal learning environment. It will also cover concerns associated with masking and learning. This hour will also cover how aberrant sensory input from the spine will play a role in information processing necessary for emotional regulation, attention and learning- giving the chiropractor a clear understanding of subluxation neurology.
Module 2: What’s Important for Learning?!
This hour will focus on the connection between the cerebellum and prefrontal cortex and the need for a healthy executive functioning system for optimal academic, social and emotional learning. It will also cover the most current chiropractic neuroscience and the role that chiropractic adjustments can play in executive functioning by affecting processing in the cerebellum and the prefrontal cortex.
Module 3: How Emotions Effect Learning
This hour will focus on the connection between the limbic system and how emotions effect learning and attention. It will also cover classroom signs and concerns and tools for parents and teachers. This hour will tie together information from hours 1 and 2 focusing on how spinal subluxations will affect limbic regulation and emotional responses due to poor information processing.
Module 4: The Curriculum of the Cerebellum
This hour will cover the function of the cerebellum and its critical role in learning and attention. It will also cover practical information on how to affectively learn using the cerebellum and the role that chiropractors can play via the spinal adjustment, specific exercises and nutritional modifications.
